Name:
Alys.
Gender:
Female.
Age:
4 years.
Orientation:
Absolutely straight.
Phase:
Creixent.
Rank:
Les Mares.
In body, Alys is small--smaller than most cats--but to her, that's not a big disadvantage. Her diminutive body allows for her to also be lithe and agile in ways she couldn't be otherwise, just as it also makes her look more kitten-like and vulnerable to the point most who see her get the overwhelming urge to protect her. That is, unless you know her better...
Almost-too-green eyes look a little large on her small face, but they serve her purpose well enough. They appear pleading sometimes, but spend a little more time with her and the veil will he lowered to reveal emeralds sparkling with deviousness and cunning. If she sees something she likes, the change in expression shows it quite well. Her eyes go from round, almost circular, to narrow and her lips curl up tightly for sometimes just a split second until she composes herself again.
Her pelt, black as if hewn from pure midnight, is longer than average standards though, with all the time Alys puts into it, is hardly matted. It shines delicately, beautiful in its own light instead of relying on that of the sun or moon. As her father once said, it's as if she's her own star.
A voice as rich as velvet pushes forth from her throat, capturing the attention of anyone near. Some detect the note of falsehood from the start, but as she keeps talking, she sounds more and more reasonable until, well, why not go along with what she's saying? It doesn't seem so crazy anymore..Or senseless. Males especially feel the need to please her, though after once of falling for her trick, few go down a second time unless they liked the first go-around that much.
Her tiny paws slip over the earth effortlessly, looking as if it's just natural to be so beautiful. In truth, it's anything but natural or effortless, but an attempt to impress. Sometimes it goes over well, sometimes it doesn't and others see her for what she really is--a whore--but that doesn't matter. It doesn't matter what anyone thinks of her, there will always be males to fall for her.
Personality:
First and foremost, Alys is apathetic. She feels almost nothing, cares about little--it's a wonder she's still alive with all the reckless acts she's unafraid of. Had she not chosen the life she lives now, she could have been a great addition to the Dimonis. Had she experience love--real love and not what she wastes her life on--she wouldn't be like this.
Deeper inside, the apathy has opened a void that needs to be filled to avoid a total collapse. Alys has chosen to fill this void with sex and things of a sexual nature. She simply doesn't know how else to live or how else to feel wanted than is she's with someone and, let's face it, she finds it fun. Why fill it with anything else? Shortsightedness can be life-altering and Alys has proved this.
As for which toms she chooses to seduce, well, she's not very picky. She seems to have a thing for foreign guys or even just one outside the Phase because those are the most risky if she gets caught with them. It often puts her in a tough situation, but those who used to be bothered by it just shrug it off as Alys being Alys since none of the toms have bothered to stick around the Phase much long after business is done and, if anything, it adds to the Phase's population.
If she knows one emotion, it is pride. That is the one thing she was brought up under, and it has shadowed her whole life since. She can't stand to be slandered for anything other than the life that got her categorized as Les Mares and will not stand for mockery of any sort. She's a vain cat, walking with her chin held high and tail raised in the dignity she feels is hers. She has no feelings of loyalty other than the ones to herself and everything she is.
As for dreams, one is left. Alys dreams of greatness. She's not a fighter, so chances of her reaching this goal by her own means are unlikely, but she leans on her son Brennus to provide the means to this vision.
History:
Born to the Estimat Lider of the Creixent, everyone thought Alys would amount to something. How could she not? Life was practically being handed to her and she experienced more than any others her age how life within the Phase was to be run. No one doubted for a second she was bright, perhaps more than her littermates, and she definitely had the skill to be greater than her father. In front of the Phase, he always acted the part of the loving dad to his children and mate. Who would have expected anything?
In the view of only closed eyes, he was hard on Alys and he siblings. He pushed, not loved, because he couldn't stand the idea of the Phase thinking him to be weak more than he loved his family. Alys went through life convinced she only got in the way of things and there was no love for her.
As she got older, Alys began to realize the truth of her father's actions. She knew now their source and scoffed at him. She knew she could be loved, had to prove to him she could be loved. She let herself be seduced by a tom not much older than she and had to endure the wrath of her father for ages before she felt victorious.
Yet whatever victory she felt was not mutual among those in the Creixent. They saw what she had done and couldn't believe it--how could one so on top of the world fall off so fast?--but she did. She did and she liked it. In fact, she liked it so much, she dropped out of training and became one of the Les Mares right away. Her father had never been so ashamed of anything before and debated the consequences of killing her several time before his mate finally convinced him otherwise.
It was her weakness for the out-of-bounds that led her to her first pregnancy. She fell in love with him the way she falls in love with every tom she sees for only one night and thus a new litter for the Phase was brought forth.
Unfortunately, this litter couldn't have been brought forth at a worse time. Three of the five kits born died within minutes' time--before she could even name them!--and she was left with two small black toms. She named the larger one Brennus for his father's origins, the smaller one Zahler simply because she liked the name.
These kits brought on a motherly instinct few would've guessed she possessed. She loved them, told them they were special, and treated them better than she had any other cat, even herself.
Brennus prospered greatly in this adoration, becoming the son Alys could truly find herself proud of, but Zahler, on the other hand...If she had not been blinded by her doting, she would have disowned him quicker.
The disowning came one day when she decided to leave the territory for a trip to the river. Zahler, for all his clumsiness, fell in the river. Alys raced along the shore to save her poor son while Brennus held back and called out to his mother about how she was wasting her time. Having inherited his mother's gift of persuasion, Alys turned her back on her drowning son and left him to die in the current. Too bad for her he survived.
To complicate matters further, he began to see and hear cats no one else could. The Phase began to look down upon both Zahler and his relatives, driving Alys to cut all ties with him faster.
In the meantime, however, Brennus had begun to rise in the ranks of the Creixent. He promised his mom she would have greatness one day in the Lluna Nova and he would get them there.
